Lovecraft, author of supernatural fiction, mostly as seen in the framing sections of the 1993 movie "Necronomicon: Book of the Dead" plus some additional historical/biographical elements, with a few more liberties taken by the player, thus less racism/xenophobia and more concern about forbidden knowledge (scientific and otherwise) and the effects thereof.

Character, PB (Jeffrey Combs with a lot of prosthetic makeup), and player are all well over the age of eighteen.
